Recognized by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) as a skin-brightening functional cosmetic ingredient, niacinamide is widely used to help improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and enhance skin radiance.

② The Impact of Two Peptides (Nonapeptide-1 & Hexapeptide-2) on Melanin Reduction

• Nonapeptide-1

Studies have shown that treatment with 20 ppm Nonapeptide-1 (N-1A) was associated with reduced melanin content and decreased tyrosinase activity in melanocytes, supporting its use in formulations designed to promote a brighter and more even-looking complexion.

• Hexapeptide-2

Studies have shown that treatment with Hexapeptide-2 at concentrations of 40–80 ppm was associated with a concentration-dependent reduction in melanin content in melanocytes, supporting its application in formulations intended to promote a brighter and more even-looking complexion.
